Earlier, TRE reported that the president of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), Dr Ernest Kan, had agreed with MND that the audit findings on AHPETC are “serious” (‘President of ISCA: AHPETC’s audit report ‘serious’‘).
Dr Kan, who is also a partner and Chief-of-Operations of auditing firm, Deloitte & Touche LLP, said that a “qualified” report is still “serious”.
In addition to sitting on the various boards and committees of Govt bodies, Dr Kan is also a grassroots member of Pasir Ris Punggol Town Council. He is a Council Member and Chairman of the Finance Committee of North East Community Development Council as well as Counsellor and Chairman of the Finance Committee of Pasir Ris Punggol Town Council.
