StarHub says Q2 net profit down 29 per cent

SINGAPORE: StarHub, Singapore's second largest telecommunication company, reported on Thursday a lower-than-expected 29 per cent fall in its second quarter net profit, hurt by higher operating expenses.
The company, 56.8 per cent owned by Singapore Technologies Telemedia -- a wholly owned subsidiary of Temasek Holdings, earned S$56.2 million in the April-June quarter compared to S$78.7 million a year ago. Three analysts surveyed by Reuters expected StarHub to post a quarterly profit of S$68.7 million. Full Story
