SINGAPORE, 18 June 2008 -- Nokia, the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA), SingTel, QMax and iCELL have agreed to collaborate on further enhancing Wireless@SG, Singapore’s public Wi-Fi network.
Launched in January 2007, Wireless@SG is a wireless broadband programme developed by IDA as part of its Next Generation National Infocomm Infrastructure initiative.
Registered users have wireless broadband access to all internet-based services like online gaming, web surfing, instant messaging, voice over IP (VoIP) and e-mail at most public places.
