Singapore's billion-dollar Sports Hub launch delayed till June due to "higher rainfall in December"

The long-awaited return of Singapore’s iconic National Stadium will not be in April as previously promised, according to local newspaper TODAY.
Instead, the 55,000-seater centrepiece of the upcoming billion-dollar Singapore Sports Hub is slated to be ready only around June.
TODAY reported that the delay is due to “higher-than-average rainfall in December” as well as “engineers working to ensure the complex functioning of the stadium’s retractable dome roof will be glitch-free”.
In the middle of last year, at the successful installation of the Stadium roof’s highest truss, authorities had targeted a 2014 first-quarter finish for the 35ha Sports Hub. Full story
