I'm an ex-Singapore living in Canada now. I recently revisited my hometown and what can I say. This problem is everywhere and a shame to all who share the same race/ethnicity.

My gosh!
We never had such problems until...

It's not about stereotyping but the general manners to respect the elderly!!!

Singapore is no longer Singapore...

The PRC lady surround the entire priority seat with her plastic bags such that no one could use the priority seat. And still had the audacity to scream and shout at the poor elderly lady. Somewhere in the middle, she started insulting Singaporeans as having no "quality". The old lady only retaliate somewhere in the middle and the PRC surged forward to want to hit her. Wah lau. Who is the one with "no quality" here? And it appears the mainstream media is painting the old lady as the abuser? The mainstream media mentioned the old lady abuse the PRC after the PRC gave up her seat and moved to seat behind? i think most Singaporeans have eyes to see. If the PRC lady move to a seat behind, why would her plastic bags be all over the floor of the priority seat? she obviously wanted to obstruct the priority seat from being used.

I must say I was absolutely disgusted by the way the woman was screaming her lungs out just to get back at the old lady. Though I was not able to hear the commotion clearly, I could hear her high pitched and piercing voice in the background....what a shriller!!!
If I was in the bus, I would have walked straight to her and tell her "ni gou lo wor" and block any of her attempts to hit the old lady. Even if the old lady was at fault, that doesn't give her the right to yell or even try to hit her! What audacity! This is Singapore for goodness sake. Hitting someone tantamounts to an offence which is seizable. I would be happy to escort her to the police station. We try not to look at it as this behaviour is coming from a particular country but recent events proposed so. We are not stereotyping but being practical about it. WE CANNOT ALLOW SUCH IDIOTIC HABITS/BEHAVIOURS IN SINGAPORE....GET TO THE ROOTS OF THE PROBLEM BEFORE IT GETS TO US TRUE BLUE SINGAPOREANS....

really sad to see how the graceful behaviour in life is lacking since the influx of so many ??????

I strongly believe that the government should take a serious stand in such a unbelievable behaviour in the extreme loud behaviour of the lady.. is this acceptable ..??? where is the respect ?? foreigner coming to Singapore ... Integration into the life especially behaviour understanding !!! respect.....courteous ...politeness.. we Singaporean from young we have been taught to do so.. we hope our younger generation do not learn from such a loud behaviour ...where is the discipline for all ??

Obviously this "prc talent" cannot read or she had lost a 'ping-pong' match and was not chosen to represent S'pore in London and has to walk the back streets of Geylang!
They are taking our generosity and kindness for granted and they will be the first to pack and leave S'pore the moment we are in a crisis. It was us S'poreans who made S'pore what it is today from the day PM Lee hailed 'Merdeka' and not these so called 'imported talents'. We had real talents like Ang Peng Siong a true blooded S'porean.
These imported prc would not dare do this back where they came from.

Why didn't any of the other passengers on the bus do anything? Why are most Singaporeans so passive? Wasn't there even one Singaporean in the bus who could've stood up on the senior citizen's behalf?

What were the rest of the people doing?
Ballsless Singaporeans?
If i were there, I would have dragged the bloody PRC Bytch and thrown her out of the bus for public safety's sake!

Good for you but don't just talk.. It's easy to talk after the act. Pls remember what you said and stand up for Singapore when the next occasion arise. Be a true self respecting Singaporean as you claimed. Thank you.

I see you guys had asked, why the other singaporeans are sitting and keeping quiet?? that is the whole problem. Most of us are so scared of to voice out.. thus remember the recent thing where peoles voices are to be heard? now it seems back to no listening again... sO MANY CHANGES BUT personally i feel people can migrate here but pls learn to be like the local then its consider being part of the country... To be singaporean?, learn respect the local here... not bring another country culture here... if so, might as well stay back at their own country......

I would have grabbed that bitch by the hair & throw her out of the bus!!!
She is actually mirroring her behaviour from back in China where
they starve their own parents to death just to get the inheritance earlier & will not lift a finger to help an elderly person when they see one in trouble on the road!
DISGUSTING! What the HELL is Singpaore doing in allowing these hooligans in our country
