Singapore endorses OECD standard for information exchange

SINGAPORE, March 6 (Xinhua) -- Singapore decided to endorse the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Standard for the effective exchange of information, the country's Ministry of Finance said on Friday.

The ministry said in a statement that it is signing up OECD Standard through Avoidance of Double Taxation Agreements, adding that the decision is in keeping with Singapore's role as a trusted center for finance and a responsible jurisdiction, with strong and consistent regulatory policies and a firm commitment to the rule of law.
