SINGAPORE, March 6 (Reuters) - Singapore Airlines (SIAL.SI) said on Friday it is avoiding North Korean airspace and using alternative routes, but the move would not significantly affect the travel plans or flight times of its passengers.
North Korea, which is preparing to test its longest-range missile, said on Thursday it could not guarantee the safety of South Korea's commercial flights off the east coast of the peninsula where the missile base is located.
