Singapore's PSA Faces Criticisms In Pakistan

"The government will also pay Rs40 per tonne to the Port of Singapore Authority (PSA) towards port charges despite the fact that there had been no investment by the port operator ever since it took over operations early 2006.

With a population of around 70,000 people, Gwadar has yet to transform itself by developing connectivity through road and rail networks with the rest of the country.

According to ports and shipping experts it is not the government’s duty to make the port operational, when it had been handed over to the operator. They question about the business plan of the operator and say that not a single penny had been invested by the PSA so far."
