Optus 3G is broken - will it be fixed?

"The problem with Optus is that their infrastructure simply isn't up to scratch. While I've not travelled extensively with my iPhone, I have used it across much of Melbourne and Sydney. 3G coverage, despite Optus' own maps, is patchy at best. While 2G is OK for email it's useless for web browsing or using apps like Facebook and Twitter that rely on connectivity.

The 3G coverage is also limited in that it seems impossible to get a connection that runs at better than 400Kbps. While that might technically meet the requirements of a 3G connection it's a disgrace."
