The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has signed an agreement on a US$1.15 million project to develop a model of vocational education for local schools with Singapore Polytechnic.
Launched on Friday, the three-year project includes Singapore-based refresher courses for managers and teachers from HCMC’s vocational schools, and the development of infrastructure and training programs.
It will be piloted at four schools: Phu Lam Technical Economics College, Thu Duc Technical and Vocational School, South Sai Gon Technical and Vocational School, and Nguyen Huu Canh School.
The project is sponsored by Temasek Foundation – a Singaporean non-profit charity organization working for Asian people’s growth in such areas as education, health care and research.
