Singapore received 98,574 tourists from the Middle East, in 2007 which was a 735 increase over 2002, when there were 57,000 visitors from the Middle East.
Air connectivity between the two regions is expected to contribute to the rise in the expected number of Gulf visitors to the city state in the coming years according to Singapore Tourism Board (STB) Executives.
