To celebrate the progressive introduction of a fourth daily flight from Sydney to Singapore in April 2008, the Airline this week launched their Grow with Us And Win Competition.

“To celebrate our growth and to acknowledge the support from the trade that has made this possible, Singapore Airlines is offering seven agents the opportunity to win two return economy class tickets to Singapore, flying on our new services,” NSW Manager Craig Astridge said.

“The Singapore Airlines NSW Sales Team are this week delivering over 800 pot plants to agents throughout the Sydney metropolitan area and Canberra. It will then be up to the agents to nurture their plant until it blooms.

“There are seven plants with a unique bloom and the offices that have a winning bloom will win a trip to Singapore.”

“The new service will become daily by June 2008 and will make Singapore Airlines the first airline to operate 28 weekly flights on the popular Sydney – Singapore route,” Mr Astridge said.

“The flight from Sydney connects with flights departing Singapore to Zurich, Shanghai, Beijing, Rome, Athens, Copenhagen, Johannesburg, Capetown, Delhi, Nagoya, Fukuoka and more.”

The new service is operated by Singapore Airlines’ new B777-300ER, configured in a spacious, three-class cabin (First, Business and Economy), featuring the new generation of cabin products.

“We were very pleased to welcome the new aircraft to Sydney last week and passengers on the first flight out of Sydney last Tuesday were farewelled with cake and champagne at a gatehold function hosted by Singapore Airlines,” Mr Astridge concluded.
