SINGAPORE is planning an all-out assault on the international shopping world and with this in mind, its premier shopping strip, Orchard Road, will undergo a $S40 million (about $31 million) makeover next month.
The vibrant one-way street which is already jam-packed with hundreds of world-class fashion boutiques and restaurants, will be unrecognisable by the time construction is wrapped up and the new strip is revealed in April next year.
