Singapore's int'l tourist arrivals in Q1 up 15 pct

SINGAPORE, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's international visitor arrivals in the first quarter rose by 15 percent year on year to close to 3.6 million, the Singapore Tourism Board said on Tuesday.
Tourism receipts rose by 8 percent year on year to 5.8 billion Singapore dollars (4.6 billion U.S. dollars) in the first quarter, with the biggest contributing component sightseeing and entertainment, including gaming, seeing a year-on-year growth of 11 percent. Full story
