Malaysia Star, 9 May 2011SINGAPORE: Penny, a 36-year-old mother of three, was at a coffeeshop near her HDB flat celebrating the “best Mother's Day gift ever” with her husband and children.
“Best gift” being that the Workers' Party (WP) had won the Aljunied constituency.
The WP's A' team made history on Saturday night when it wrested the five-seat Aljunied constituency with a 9.4% majority, securing 72,165 votes against PAP's 59,732. Full story
