Singapore's unemployment rate falls in Q3

SINGAPORE, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's seasonally adjusted overall unemployment rate fell slightly to 2.1 percent in the third quarter this year from the previous quarter's 2.2 percent, official data showed on Wednesday.
But this is a significant improvement from a year ago, when unemployment peaked at 3.3 percent during the economic downturn, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Manpower. Full story
