Iran has bought about 2 million barrels of gas oil (diesel) from Singapore for December delivery to meet its rising winter heating demand.Traders told Reuters that Tehran has been buying about 400,000-600,000 barrels of gas oil per month since September.
The Iranian government has been obliged in its annual budget to use gas in its power plants instead of diesel.
