SINGAPORE – The list of NMPs for the new term is finally out. It wasn’t to be happy day for supporters of NMP Siew Kum Hong’s bid for a second term in Parliament. He was not re-appointed as an NMP for a second-term. And there out there who are wondering why.
It might be tempting to speculate on Siew’s advocacy of the repeal of Section 377A of the penal code, and the subsequent ruckus kicked up over Siew’s participation at the AWARE EOGM on 2nd May, that led to his failed bid.
