MANILA – The Philippine Embassy in Singapore will follow closely the investigation being conducted by authorities there on the death of a Filipina household helper.
Earlier reports said that Milagros Altoberos Okamoto fell to her death on April 16, 2013. The family is still awaiting the results of the re-autopsy on the OFW's body after it arrived in the country on January 7.
At a press briefing, DFA Spokesman Assistant Secretary Charles Jose said that information from the Health Sciences Authority of Singapore stated that Okamoto died of multiple injuries.
But on the request of the embassy, Singapore's Coroner Office will convene a Coroner's inquiry shortly to determine the actual cause of death and circumstances. Link
