SINGAPORE, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- Singapore reported a death case from dengue fever on Tuesday, raising the dengue death toll in the city state this year to five.
The latest death involved a 52-year-old Chinese male, said a joint statement by the Ministry of Health and the National Environment Agency.
Singapore experienced a dengue epidemic, with the total number of dengue cases reported so far this year at 14,363. This is significantly higher than the previous peak, though with fewer number of severe cases. Full story
