SINGAPORE, June 24 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's headline inflation inched up to 1.6 percent in May from a year-on-year rise of 1.5 percent in April, despite falling cost of the private road transport, authorities said on Monday.
The core inflation monitored by the Monetary Authority, which excludes the costs of accommodation and private road transport, rose to 1.7 percent in May from 1.4 percent in April, largely due to steeper increases in services fees and food prices. Full story
