SINGAPORE: Just three days into the new year, the Singapore authorities detained a suspected Malaysian drug courier and seized 1.4kg of heroin at the motorcycle arrival lane of the Tuas Checkpoint.
The arrest of the 28-year-old man was made possible by the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) and the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), with help from the Singapore Police Force (SPF)’s K-9 unit.
In a follow-up operation, CNB officers nabbed two local drug traffickers in connection with the seizure, and seized a small amount of heroin and party drug, ‘ice’. Full story
