Education Minister Heng Swee Keat slammed the behaviour of National University of Singapore (NUS) ASEAN law scholar and sex blogger, Alvin Tan, saying his recent acts were “reprehensible and unbecoming of a scholar”.
Workers Party MP Singh gave the example of Chinese scholar Sun Xu who also faced disciplinary actions but had his punishments known to the public.
Heng cleared the air by adding that Sun Xu and Tan’s cases were under completely different matters and circumstances.
