The PAP sees the problem too. But its solution is to bring in foreigners so that they can beef up the ranks of the younger generation.
Unfortunately, such a policy does not take into consideration the effects of a mass and sudden influx of immigrants on the local population. More important, what happens when these new immigrants themselves start to age? Are we going to import even more foreigners to support them?
Worse, the PAP continues to push HDB prices higher and higher, forcing Singaporeans to use more and more of their CPF savings to service their mortgages without thinking of what is going to happen in the future. Full story
