Bain Capital and Singapore GIC in talks for Indian IT outsourcing company Genpact stake bid

MUMBAI, July 13 (Reuters) - U.S. private equity firm Bain Capital is in advanced talks with the Government of Singapore Investment Corp (GIC) to make a joint bid for a 40 percent stake in IT outsourcing company Genpact for $1.5 billion to $2 billion, three sources with direct knowledge of the matter said.
Most of Genpact's employees are in India, where IT outsourcing firms have thrived by providing Western firms with services such as processing insurance claims, managing payrolls and customer support at sharply lower cost. Full story
