SINGAPORE will back Australia's bid for a United Nations Security Council seat.
Singapore's prime minister, Lee Hsien Loong, made the commitment during an official dinner with Prime Minister Julia Gillard at the end of her first visit as Australian leader to the island nation.
The two nations enjoy a close and long-standing relationship, Mr Lee told an audience of business leaders and dignitaries from Australia and Singapore at the presidential palace tonight. Full story
