Net furore over Lee Kuan Yew's speech on accepting foreigners

While some agree with Mr Lee, many continue to voice their concerns, arguing that the government is not doing enough to encourage couples to have babies.
Sentiments also remain strong that babies are a liability in Singapore.
One netizen said, "same old story: immigrants coming in too fast, integrating too slowly; made worse by inadequate infrastructure to support the population explosion".
Other netizens point out that the rate of immigration is taking a heavy toll on locals and questioned whether Singaporeans really do benefit from the intake of immigrants.
