A report from the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), Investment for the future: Benchmarking IT Industry Competitiveness 2011, ranks 66 countries on six indicators: business environment, IT infrastructure, human capital, legal framework, government's support and research and development landscape.
Although the UK moved up one place to fifth this year, it was overtaken by Singapore, which leaped six places.
