A recent Yahoo! Singapore poll revealed that most respondents want a Singapore President who questions government policies, although there has been debate on whether such a role is allowed under the Constitution.
The poll, which is unscientific and ran for about a week up to 16 August, asked users what kind of President they want for Singapore, and out of 4,993 respondents, 71 percent indicated they prefer a President who questions government policies. Full story
