Spanish top chef Santi Santamaria died of an apparent heart attack at the age of 53 in in Singapore on Wednesday, sources of his three-star restaurant Can Fabes said. Santamaria had been visiting a restaurant he owned at the time.
He was one of the pioneers of Catalan haute cuisine which is now regarded as being among the most sophisticated in Europe. Full story
