Singapore kids get free ipads

ONE OF THE most controlled societies in the world, dubbed Disneyland with the death penalty, has decided to give its school kids a free shiny toy made by one of the most controlled companies in the world run by the bloke who has more shares in Disney than any other individual.
Four schools in the wealthy city-state have begun handing out Apple Ipads to kids with the idea that they will not need to carry satchels full of heavy textbooks and notes.
Instead they will have to carry a heavy piece of gear with a screen that can't be seen in Singapore's sunshine. Full story
