Tiger Air join hands with Thai Airways

Crikey.com, 2 Aug 2010
Tiger Airways has signed an MOU with Thai International to add a new trans border franchise for its low cost brand from early next year based in Bangkok.
This will make it Tiger’s second franchise after its Australian division, but in this case it is to be 51% owned by Thai International and another Thai company so that it can qualify as a Thai national flag carrier and serve destinations throughout India, China and SE Asia.
The Tiger Airways group is controlled by Singapore Airlines, which has membership of the Star Alliance in common with Thai International. Full Story
