Singapore, Hong Kong most open to trade

Singapore and Hong Kong are the countries most open to trade, continuing to occupy the top two places in the Enabling Trade Index, the World Economic Forum said on Wednesday.
They are followed by Denmark, Sweden and Switzerland, with New Zealand climbing five places since last year to take No 6 ranking, said the Swiss-based forum, which organises the annual meeting of business executives and politicians in Davos.
"Despite fears of rising protectionism, the report confirms that a large majority of countries did not raise trade barriers," the forum said in a statement. Full Story
