Eight Singaporeans held for bribery

State MACC director Simi Abdul Ghani said the Singaporeans aged between 27 and 66 were detained for offering bribes to the police officers after they were caught for various traffic offences.
“Anyone convicted for the offence can be jailed a maximum of 20 years and fined not more than five times the bribe amount or RM10,000, whichever is higher,” he added. Full Story
