A Singaporean man has become the first person to be successfully extradited to the UK to face charges of insider trading in case involving a former Dresdner Kleinwort banker and his wife.
Helmy Omar Sa'aid appeared before the City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday to be charged with 14 counts of insider trading after an investigation of alleged illegal trading by Christian Littlewood, a former senior banker at Dresdner Kleinwort and Shore Capital, and his wife Angie Littlewood.
Mr Sa'aid flew to Paris at the weekend after the granting of a request for his extradition by the French authorities in Mayotte, part of the Comoros Islands in the Indian Ocean, before being flown on to London on Sunday where he was arrested by British police. Full Story
