SINGAPORE, June 9 (AScribe Newswire) -- Professor Tan Chorh Chuan, President of the National University of Singapore, was unanimously endorsed as the new Chair of the International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU). This was announced at the 2009 IARU Presidents' Meeting held at the University of Cambridge from 28 to 29 April. Professor Tan takes over the IARU leadership from the Australian National University Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Ian Chubb, AC.
