Hisham explains why Mas Selamat isn’t extradited

SINGAPORE’s Jemaah Islamiah (JI) militant leader Mas Selamat Kastari will not be extradited to the republic because of ongoing investigations into his connection with terrorist networks, said Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.
The Home Minister said Mas Selamat, who was recaptured in Skudai, Johor, in April after a dramatic escape from a high security prison in Singapore in February last year, was arrested under the Internal Security Act (ISA) as he was deemed a threat to the country.
