SINGAPORE, May 18 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's President S R Nathan said on Monday that the government's immediate priority is to see Singapore through the economic crisis.
Speaking at the opening of the second session of the eleventh Parliament, Nathan said the best strategy is still to help companies to stay viable and continue employing workers.
"We must keep up the effort to up-skill and re-skill our workers to become more employable and productive, in a changing economy," he said.
