More pain lies ahead for aviation industry, say industry leaders at TFWA Asia Pacific Conference

SINGAPORE. There will be more pain ahead for the travel industry before the business returns to growth. That’s according to leading airline, airport and travel retail industry executives, who were speaking at the concluding session of yesterday’s TFWA Asia Pacific and Gate One2One Conference in Singapore.
Geoff Dixon, former CEO of Qantas, said: “This is the worst crisis I have seen in aviation in the past ten to 12 years. We’re not at the bottom yet, and premium traffic is being hit hardest, which is affecting airline yields.
