Malaysian PM bids to end rows on visit to Singapore

SINGAPORE (AFP) — Malaysia's new premier Najib Razak began his first official visit to Singapore Thursday, with plans to rise above the long-running quarrels that have undermined relations between the neighbours.
Najib, who was sworn in last month, began the two-day visit by crossing overland into Singapore from Johor state, via one of the two bridges which link the two countries.
