Elderly S'porean man appeals to bank to rehire his son

A 78-YEAR-OLD man wrote to a Chinese daily in Singapore appealing to an international bank to re-employ his 50-year-old son who was re­­trenched early this year, China Press reported.
The elderly man urged the bank, which had opened a new branch on the island, to rehire his son, who had served more than 20 years with it.
The man, known only as Lim, wrote that his son, who is married with children, found it difficult to get a new job.
