The newly revamped Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games website (www.singapore2010.sg) was revealed today to reporters. The updated website promises a new look reflecting the energy and excitement of Singapore 2010, a more user-friendly interface, a quicker loading time and greater ease of information-sharing through platforms such as digg.com and del.ici.ous.
One of the exciting new additions to the website is the WhyOhGee youth microsite (www.whyohgee.sg). The name came from a list of suggestions from 80 young people who brainstormed for a name that would resonate with their peers. "WhyOhGee" was the popular choice for its vibrance and youth appeal, and because it sounds like "Y-O-G", the acronym for the Youth Olympic Games.
