Industrial rents in Singapore falling

Industrial rents and capital values in Singapore fell in the first quarter of 2009 as the depressed global economy and trade took its toll, figures from CBRE show.
Monthly rent for hi-tech spaces fell by 3.3 percent quarter-on-quarter to S$2.90 per sq ftduring the first quarter.
Meanwhile, average monthly rents for ground and upper floor factory units fell by $0.10 per sq ft quarter-on-quarter to $1.45 per sq ft and $1.20 per sq ft respectively.
