NEW YORK (AP) — Casino operator Las Vegas Sands Corp. told its president and chief operating officer last week that he was going to be replaced, only for William P. Weidner to resign from his posts four days later, a regulatory filing revealed on Tuesday.
The disclosure comes a day after the company led by billionaire Sheldon Adelson said in a statement that Weidner was no longer part of the organization and would not serve on its board.
