Singapore's EDB Says Need To Attract Investments That Create New Jobs

(RTTNews) - Monday, Singapore's Economic Development Board or EDB said it met investment forecasts in 2008, and expects 2009 to still yield more than SG$10 billion in fixed asset investments or FAI.

In 2008, EDB attained SG$18 billion in FAI and SG$7.8 billion in total business spending from committed projects in both the manufacturing and services sectors. The board said 16,400 skilled jobs would be created when these projects are fully implemented.
