Singapore reveals A330 phase-in plan

SINGAPORE: Singapore Airlines has revealed plans for the introduction of the first of a fleet of 19 new Airbus A330-300s from March.

The carrier says after pilot training is completed, the new aircraft, configured for regional use, will serve on routes to Australian and Japanese cities, progressively from the end March.

The first of the planes will be delivered to Singapore Airlines by Airbus in mid-January. Initially, the aircraft will be used to complete pilot conversion, and thereafter, operate some short sectors between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore and Jakarta, during late February and March.
