TARIN KOWT, Afghanistan, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Singapore has deployed a medical unit to Afghanistan to support NATO's International Security Assistance Force operations.
The Singapore armed forces announced the deployment of a 20-person medical unit to Afghanistan's Uruzgan province. Officials say the unit consists of medical and nursing officers who will support ISAF operations in the provincial capital of Tarin Kowt in a field hospital established by NATO, the Singapore Ministry of Defense reported.
