SINGAPORE, Nov 21 (Reuters) - Singapore's central bank said on Friday it had no plans to loosen monetary policy before next April, despite data confirming the island is in recession and the government saying the economy may shrink next year.
The central bank eased policy in October to head off the global financial storm that has also pushed Japan and Hong Kong into recession in Asia. The Singapore dollar had been weakening in anticipation of a further easing in policy.
