ABC says working to avert collapse

"REPORTS of the demise of childcare group ABC Learning appears to have been exaggerated - at least for now - with company saying today it was still working with its banks the Government to avoid collapse. The group's share price was decimated earlier this year, forcing it into the sale of assets in the US and UK businesses."

"The most likely buyer for ABC if it is forced to appoint administrators would be its biggest shareholder, Singapore Government fund Temasek Holdings which bought into the group in February this year."
