Singapore Maritime Week 2008, featuring meetings, seminars and dialogues on topical industry issues, kicked off here on Friday.
The 10-day-long business activities are expected to attract over 6,000 participants, up from 2,900 in 2006, and 4,500 in 2007,according to the organizer, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.
